Central Elementary MATTERbox Community Event
The Need in Our Backyard: In our local schools and neighborhoods, children can experience food insecurity that directly impacts their well-being and readiness to learn. Far too many kids head home each weekend unsure of where their next healthy meal or snack will come from.
As the Lewisville and Flower Mound communities come together, we can meet these urgent needs directly providing relief, connection, and encouragement to our local LISD students.

The MATTERbox Event
Our local community is coming together to partner with MATTER (a 501(c)(3) non-profit) for a hands-on packing event to benefit Central Elementary. We have set an initial fundraising goal of $10,000 which would create over 3,000 beneficial snack packs for kids but our impact does not stop there. Because the final number of boxes we pack scales directly with what we raise together, every dollar beyond our target simply means more snacks for students who need them!
📦 A Snack Pack Box: Each box provides healthy snacks, nutrition education, and a "You Matter" note—a personal, handwritten message of encouragement from our community to remind each student that they are seen, valued, and supported.
You can fund a single box, multiple boxes, or donate any amount—large or small. Every dollar goes directly toward purchasing kits.
How It Works: Step 1 Donate, Step 2 Pack Together!
Making this project a reality comes down to two simple steps:
Step 1: Donate (Now through October 31st) – During the month of October, we are raising funds to get all supplies ordered and shipped. Help us reach our initial $10,000 goal, and let's see how far past it we can go to maximize our impact!
Step 2: Pack Together (November 15th) – From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 15th, we will gather at the Central Elementary Cafeteria to roll up our sleeves and assemble the boxes side by side. We want the whole family and community to participate! Whether you donated or not, everyone is invited, even smaller kids, to help us pack, write notes of encouragement, and build relationships.
The Impact: Fueling Students for Success
All donations are 100% tax-deductible and securely processed by MATTER. To ensure maximum local impact, the assembled kits will be distributed directly to students at Central Elementary. Our hope is that this event connects the community to the school, provides for physical needs, and fosters lasting local support.
